Mexico's Proven Hydrocarbon Reserves Up from 2019

Mexico's proven oil and gas reserves stood at 8.06B barrels of oil equivalent as of Jan. 1, 2020, up 2.1% from a year earlier and equivalent to 9.3 years of 2019 production, the National Hydrocarbons Commission reports. Proven oil reserves were 6.3B barrels and proven gas reserves 9.3T cubic feet. 2P reserves --proven and probable--were up 0.4% at 15.9B BOE and 3P reserves, which also include possible reserves, were down 8% at 23.1B BOE. Mexico produced close to 1.7M barrels a day of crude oil last year, and 4.87B cubic feet a day of gas.
