據能源新聞6月10日消息稱，據Kallanish Energy報道，美國4月份新增的1328兆瓦發電能力全部來自風能、太陽能和水力發電。

該報告稱，2020年前4個月，可再生能源發電量占新發電量的56.3%。

在2020年1月至4月新增的9082兆瓦中，可再生能源占5113兆瓦。

其中包括110臺1973兆瓦的太陽能發電機組、32臺總計3104兆瓦的風力發電機組、6臺25兆瓦的水力發電機組和2臺11兆瓦的生物質發電機組。

FERC還報告說，21臺天然氣裝置新增產能總計3964兆瓦。

從1月到4月，煤炭、石油、核能或地熱能的發電量沒有增加。

可再生能源目前占全國可用裝機產能的22.87%。

煤炭目前占美國能源的20.32%。風能和太陽能合計為美國提供了12.87%的電力。

預測顯示，未來三年風能和太陽能的新增產能都將超過天然氣。

Renewables produce 100% energy growth in April

Wind, solar and, hydropower provided all of the 1,328 megawatts of new U.S. electrical generating capacity added in April, Kallanish Energy reports.

Renewables also provided 56.3% of new generating capacity in the first four months of 2020, it said.

Renewables accounted for 5,113 megawatts of the 9,082 megawatts added from January through April 2020.

That includes 110 units of solar with 1,973 megawatts, 32 new units of wind totaling 3,104 megawatts, six units of hydropower with 25 megawatts, and two units of biomass with 11 megawatts.

FERC also reported that 21 units of new natural gas capacity totaling 3,964 megawatts.

There have been no new capacity additions from January through April by coal, oil, nuclear power, or geothermal energy.

Renewable energy now accounts for 22.87% of the nation’s total available installed generating capacity.

Coal now accounts for 20.32% of U.S. energy. Wind and solar together produce 12.87% of U.S. power.

Projections show that wind and solar will both produce more new capacity in the next three years than natural gas.

Over the next three years, wind power is expected to grow by 26,867 megawatts and solar is projected to grow by 24,083 megawatts. In comparison, natural gas will grow by only 20,657 megawatts, according to FERC data.
