Oil derivatives prices drop globally

Prices of oil derivatives in global markets have dropped during the third week of April, according to data released on Monday by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

According to the data, the price of 90-octane gasoline went down by 10.4 percent, going from $180.6 per ton in the second week to $161.7 in the third week, while the price of 95-octane gasoline declined from $185.8 per ton to $170.5, a decrease of 8.2 percent.

Diesel prices also tumbled by 14.9 percent going from $258 per ton to $219.5, while the prices of kerosene dropped by 8.3 percent, from $201.6 to $184.9 per ton. The prices of liquefied gas for April stood at $237.5 per ton.

In the third week of April, benchmark Brent crude prices went from $22.9 to $19.4 per barrel.
