據道瓊斯2月10日消息，美銀美林全球研究公司表示，受消費者試圖節省支出和購買更加節油型汽車的影響，今年美國消費者對于汽油需求將出現下降。該行稱：“我們預計2017年及以后，美國汽油需求正在恢復下降趨勢，因為駕車里程驅動的需求增長放緩，同時在油價上漲的情況下，節油型新汽車的銷售量再次開始增加。”美銀美林表示：“中期而言，美國汽油需求平均每年將減少7萬桶/天。”

　　American consumers appetite for gasoline will decline this year as consumers try to save their money and buy more fuel-efficient vehicles, Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research says. We see US gasoline demand resuming its negative trend in 2017 and beyond, as miles driven growth slows and fuel efficiency in new cars sold starts rising again on higher prices, the bank says.
